4.1.0 (Debian package), also reproduced today on 4.1.1 Flatpak
OS: Debian 13.3, Plasma 6.3.6 (Wayland)
Issue (started 29/01/2025):
I spent a good part of my day working on different chapters, and then I see the file nales are not poulating in the file tree of the workspace. I thought I must be going crazy--I just did that. However Zettlr recognizes the file is present, so it offers me to overwrite a file with the same name (“file already exists, do you want to overrite?”), even though it is not appearing in the file tree.
What I see:
Files visible in the shell and Dolphin.
Permissions are right and they all have the .md extension
Files never appear in the file tree of my Workspace
Restarting Zettlr, deleting fsal.sqlite, clearing Electron caches does not help.
I have reproduced this behavoir in both Debian package and Flatpak (fresh install) from Discover repo.
Missing files are under a single subdirectory (e.g. 02-Part-2-Installation), but that's the olny directory I was working in today, and I am too tired test other directories, but I bet it would be the same.
So I can fix it by renaming the files again and opening them in Kate. Then go into Zettlr and create a new file of the name I want. Then paste it. But that's 34 double handling changed. I prefer to wait for the FSAL solution.
Is this a known FSAL problem of not watching and rebuilding the cache? I thought this was what FSAL does, has inotify watch for directory changes and populates them.
Maybe I caused this problem by renaming the files outside of Zettlr, in this case Dolphon. I deleted my earlier post due to getting no replies, but hopefully this one is much more descriptive and precise.
Am I the only one with this problem?
PLease answer quickly.
