URLs are no longer rendered as links (?)

Hey, I'm sorry if it's a stupid question, or if it's not a sort of a question that should be asked at a forum like this, but Zettlr used to render URLs (http://blabla.com) as green clickable links, even when they were just written in the text, without any []s around them. And after the recent update, they are no longer clickable. And I can't find a settings setting that would make them clickable again.

Is it an expected behavior and have I just missed the memo? Or is it more, like, kinda of a bug?..

This is absolutely not a stupid question, because I myself implemented this change relatively recently. URLs no longer autolink (this has led to some confusion on exports). Now you need to be explicit if you want to link a URL, by surrounding it with angle brackets (<http://google.com>). This has proven to be more stable and useful than attempting to autolink everything.

Oh, I see, thanks! Not the biggest fan tbh, but if there's a simple way to make them work, and if it helps stability, then of course so be it! 😅

EDIT: AHH, I cannot read. I had a whole tirade here about how I cannot make it work, but as it turned out, I used [] square brackets instead of <> angular ones, as I have misread your crystal-clear text somehow. Sorry.

And I couldn't notice this fact for a while, as square brackets look funny: they also turn the URL green, but the URL doesn't work (you can't click it in any meaningful way to get anywhere). Like, on this pic below only the first link works. The second one looks promising, but does nothing 🙂

But again, ok, I'll try to get used to angular brackets now. It's not super-useful for notes taking (and honestly, I think it would have been a good option to give to the users: to make them decide whether they prefer stability or "usability in a fast mode"), but every feature is a debt, so I understand. <> for the win, then 🙂
