Hi, I'm a long term user of Zettlr and Markdown, I use also Nextcloud Notes and Obsidian with.

And I also use orgmode with orgzly on android. I miss a nice and simple editor for that kind of files on desktop (try to use emacs … but … well, it's emacs).

I wonder if you can consider to support the orgdown format, it's a kind of simplify orgmode file.

Anyone interested by this idea?
Thank you

I am very sure that Zettlr won't support orgdown anytime soon. It seems like a very small and niche project likely not worth the effort of supporting. It is much more likely that Zettlr could support Asciidoc or regular orgmode. However, even that remains questionable at least insofar as that supporting languages outside of Markdown and LaTeX would induce a big maintenance effort with no straight-forward payoff for the majority of Zettlr users.

Ho! I thought it might be easier to add orgdown than the full orgmode standard. But that's a still a niche, that's true. 😔

Thanks for the quick and honest answer! 🙂
