Tried to finish survey in two different browsers. I could not continue after page five or six. I have very limited time stopped trying. Here are my comments from the survey:
For meeting notes, I developed a Zettelkasten analogue, with timestamps, but also with names of meeting / colleague to find the notes fast again
I also use Quarto Markdown, Softmaker Office, Google Docs
NEEDED!: Cross references to tables, sections, figures within one document with automatic numbering. This is a must have for me and made me go away from Zettlr already once.
Slow with Table editor and sometimes really weird figure rendering (I have turned both off as standard). But with these turned off I never had any crashes, which is really cool considering that I am a very special case since I use an atomic Linux (Vanilla OS) with Zettlr as Flatpak.
Combinations to get my work done:
Quarto Markdown -> R, Python and Julia integration + cross-references
Google Docs -> Collab with colleagues (especially those MS Word people)
Why I use Zettlr:
It just is the best for note taking, focussed writing and note referencing. It is extremely well integrated with Zotero (very fast lookup of citations) via BetterBibtex.
Not so good stuff in Zettlr:
The asset manager is a bit weird to use. I prefer to use the YAML front matter for Latex settings with otherwise standard settings. I know that one apparently can use the Asset manager for individual outputs but this seems very complex.
I know I repeat myself, but internal cross-references!
