"Root File" feature discontinued?

I was just watching the video on the file manager and saw how you can set a single file as a "root file" which would be useful to have one file as a "start page" (in a folder with thousands of files). In the video you seemed to go to the system file manager and right click, "open with" Zettlr and it just showed up as a root file next to the other folders you might also pick, but when I try that, the file opens but the file does not show up as a file in the directories part of the zettlr file manager. I'm on Linux if that makes a difference.
