Export Error $citeproc$ syntax issue not solved?

edited December 2020 in Features

Exporting to pdf gives me this message:

Export failed
An error occurred on export: pandoc "C:\Users\Daisy\AppData\Local\Temp\export.tmp" -f markdown -t latex --
template="C:\Users\Daisy\AppData\Local\Temp\template.latex" $citeproc$ --pdf-engine=xelatex --mathjax -o

pandoc: $citeproc$: openBinaryFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)

Based on the Zettlr changelog (https://www.zettlr.com/post/zettlr-182-released):

The default Pandoc command now targets Pandoc 2.11 and above. In order to use the new command, make sure to "reset" it once, or (if it contains customisations) replace $citeproc$ with --citeproc --bibliography "$bibliography$" $cslstyle$.

So it seems like my Zettlr (1.8.2) is still using the old syntax $citeproc$. Do I need to "reset" something, if so, how do I do that? (If not, what do I need to do?)

  • You need to click on the refresh/reset icon next to the 'pandoc command' in the settings->Advanced tab. But even after doing that I am getting the error. I have updated my pandoc using chocolatey. Kindly suggest what to do.

  • Thank you for showing me how to reset. Now I get this error:

    Error producing PDF.
    ! LaTeX Error: Environment CSLReferences undefined.

    See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.
    Type H for immediate help.

    l.413 \begin{CSLReferences}

  • Update: seems like with the new update (1.8.3), the export to PDF function is now fully working.
